Parenting and Pregnancy Support CenterMISSION: The Crisis Pregnancy Support Center (CPSC) is an outreach ministry of local churches which demonstrates the unconditional love and compassion of Jesus Christ in our community- a demonstration of God's power to meet the needs of those who are drawn by God to the CPSC- through the assistance to women of all ages who are involved in a potential crisis pregnancy. It is committed to assisting moms through the transitional years of parenting...until her child turns 3 years old. While utilizing the provisions of God's people and the greater community, the CPSC will, within its ability and resources, offer physical, emotional, and spiritual help, as well as practical assistance to all pregnant and parenting moms.
WHEN: The pregnancy center is open on Thursday's from 10am-2pm.
"Earn-As-You-Learn" Program: Moms attend classes in the areas of Pre-Natal, Job Skills, Parenting, and Bible Studies and earn "Baby Bucks" for each learning activity completed. The "Baby Bucks" are redeemable for baby products including diapers, wipes, formula, baby furniture and accessories, baby clothing, etc.
OPPORTUNITY: There are several ways to be involved with this project, below are just a few. For more information, refer to www.cpscm.org.
1) Volunteer at the Center in a variety of roles, some training is required.
2) Host a Baby Shower to help supply the program with the baby products that the participants earn.
3) Hold a Baby Bottle Campaign, where you collect lose change from friends, co-workers, Sunday School Classes, etc. and use the money to buy diapers or baby food for the program.
4) Hold a Baby Food Drive with your small group, organization, church, etc.
5) Assist with Special Events
6) Join the Prayer team to pray for the Center and its clients |
MissionLighthouse Christian Ministries (LCM) is an interdenominational Christian Outreach mission dedicated to assisting our neighbors in need. LCM provides emergency financial assistance and food for short term help, along with educational and job placement assistance for long term help. We are dedicated to serving each individual with respect and love, through Christ. LCM was formed in 1997 and is a section 501(c)(3) non-profit agency. |
