Volunteers

The programs and services that LCM offers the community are all done through the faithful support of volunteers, whom we refer to at LCM as "LightKeepers".  There are a variety of ways you can be involved as a LightKeeper at LCM.  We have programs and services that can accomodate individual volunteers, as well as opportunities to serve together in a group environment.

 

 

 

Ongoing volunteer opportunities include:

  • Benevolence Support 
    • Helping check-in clients, assisting them with paperwork and LCM processes
    • Food Pantry support, helping organize large deliveries
  • Medical Clinic Staff- LCM's free medical clinic is staffed entirely of volunteer medical professionals.  The clinic operates on Tuesday's from 12-5pm. 
    • Volunteer medical professionals provide patient care
    • Administrative support staff help with checking atients in and helping patients complete necessary paperwork
  • Seasonal Program Support- Help coordinate or participate as an individual or group at one of LCM's seasonal programs, which include:
    • Back to School Backpack Assembling
    • Halloween's "No Fear Festival"
    • Turkey- in-a-Bag Thanksgiving Program
    • Teen-to-Teen Christmas program
  • Cleaning and Building Maintenance Support- LCM facilities are cleaned and maintained by individuals and groups volunteering to clean, pull weeds, and help with general building maintenance.
  • Home Repairs and Senior Support- At times, LCM senior or special needs clients are in need of some helping hands to help with general home repairs and home maintenance.  This makes a terrific group project to undertake.
  • Pregnancy and Parenting Support Center- The center operates on Thursday's from 9am-3pm.  Volunteers are needed in a variety of ways to keep the center operating

Lighthouse Christian Ministries (LCM) is an interdenominational Christian Outreach mission dedicated to assisting our neighbors in need. LCM provides emergency financial assistance and food for short term help, along with educational and job placement assistance for long term help. We are dedicated to serving each individual with respect and love, through Christ. LCM was formed in 1997 and is a section 501(c)(3) non-profit agency.
