Benevolence Ministries/Food Pantry

MISSION: LCM serves those in the community that are in need of emergency financial assistance.  Through the benevolence ministries, LCM assists between 30-50 people a month by helping pay rent or utility bills.  An LCM staff member or volunteer meets with every client in need of rent/utility assistance to pray with them, encourage them, and to understand their needs and situation.  It is the goal of our ministry to encourage all those who enter our doors to seek a church home of their choice.

Food assistance is also given through LCM's Food Pantry which operates M-F from 10am-2pm.  Clients are able to receive assistance with food a limited number of times throughout the year.

OPPORTUNITY:  The food pantry is stocked by churches, organizations, and schools that conduct Food Drives throughout the year.  LCM is also a partner with the Houston Food Bank and is able to purchase low cost food from this source.  If you are interested in hosting a food drive for LCM, please check out this link for Creative Ways to Host a Food Drive.
