MISSION: The mission of the Bay Area Youth Mission (BAYM) is to provide consistent, full-time mentorship to the youth of the communities of San Leon, Bacliff, Bayview and the contiguous unincorporated areas.  The ultimate goal is to develop, within the community, youth leaders who are becoming fully devoted followers of Christ.  We hope and believe that God will use these leaders to transform the community in His name.

 

OPPORTUNITY:  If the area youth can be mentored by a strong, area-wide Christ centered program focused on developing leaders from the youth who become fully devoted followers of Christ, we believe the area can be transformed by the love and grace of God.  We believe despair will be replaced with encouragement and love; that cynicism and scoffing will be replaced with amazement at what God does through His people; that hate will be overcome by love and a community of neighbors helping neighbors will replace neighbors preying on each other.  Any area youth will be able to take part in the BAYP, regardless of whether he/she goes to one of the sponsoring churches or any church at all.
